How do I create featured events for my college, school, department, or unit?

Featured events are events that you would like to give a prime spot on your calendar homepage or channels in the Featured Events Carousel to receive some extra attention.

If you’re interested in placing a special event in the Calendar Homepage featured section, please contact Public Relations and Marketing Communications. Public Relations manages the selection of featured events at the top of the calendar, which gives users a glimpse of campus events. 

Contact us at to request an event to be featured on the calendar. 

Please remember that unique images are required for events that will be featured.

If your college, school, unit, or department has a "Featured Events" option set up for your individual calendar, you can select this for your event on the "5. Publish" tab with the last dropdown field, "In Calendar Promotion." Individual featured events like this can be selected to appear on widgets using the Widget Builder, as well as appearing on the tops of your main calendar pages.

NOTE: Make sure that you only select a Featured Events option for your specific college, school, unit, or department. Do not select one that you have no control over (including "FEATURED EVENTS". If you do, the event will be removed.
