  1. How about a single place to find non-degree programs, continuing education, and certificates across all departments

My organization is interested in professional development for our staff. Locally, Emory, GSU, Tech, Mercer and Ogelthorpe are the closest universities that may offer classes in areas we are interested in (Lean Six Sigma, project management, business analysis, for example). But if I can't find them, I can't use them. I get flyers from time to time, so I know these things are offered. Make them prominent or at least set it up so a search on certificates or non-degree programs takes me to a list of offerings. I hate wading through a list of sites that don't have anything…

  2. Search should not include LinkedIn pages

I use the site search several times a week. It used to work great, but now all the results are LinkedIn pages. That makes the site search useless. I don't care about LinkedIn. If I wanted LinkedIn results I would go to LinkedIn. It is now very difficult to find anything I need on the university web site.

  4. Display is awkward

On a laptop or phone, the search results are pushed way to the bottom under the left menu, leading me for four search terms to think that my search yielded zero hits.

  5. Search results should be more relevant and accurate.

If I search for "Geosciences", the Geosciences department should be among the top. The results are often to obscure sites or documents.

    Hi,

We are previewing a new search tool powered by Google. This is rolling out across the Georgia State websites. We appreciate the feedback and have corrected the issue with Geosciences. It is appearing as the top result. Thanks for the feedback. We have some more feedback to do and it’s important to hear what’s working as expected and what’s not.

    Thanks
