Lakeside Campus
Hi: Lakeside Campus is not included on University Map. Can we have that campus added.
Thank you,
Anita
1 voteThis campus doesn’t have any in person student services and isn’t included in the campus map.

Make a Carousel Interval attribute for the carousel shortcode
This request it 2-fold:
-Allow site admins/editors to designate the interval between slide transitions, e.g [carousel interval= "20"] where 20 is the number of seconds between transitions.
-Allow site admins/editors to turn off transitions, so they do not happen automatically when the page loads, i.e. they only happen when a user clicks the arrows, e.g. [carousel interval="false"]
5 votesWe have moved away from this tool and use the Revolution Slider tool that allows for this setting to be set. Thanks for the feedback, we needed more options.

View like website
There should be a option in the mobile GSU site... Because it is really hard to find things in the way that everything has been organized. For instance, when I try to reserve a room in the library I'm only able to do it in the desktop version, and I don't know why. Every time I try with the mobile version, the website doesn't "accept/read" my GSU email and password.
3 votesThanks for the suggestion. We don’t use a “mobile-redirect” to control our responsive mode. We added a better tool so site creators can display a better mobile experience and have more control over it.

Please add the Feedburner plugin
This - http://wordpress.org/plugins/feedburner-email-subscription/ - is a great tool to use for RSS subscriptions. One of our sites is using it now, but we can't use the email subscription form that Feedburner provides as the code gets stripped out.
2 votesThis service has been greatly deprecated. We use an RSS aggregator that isn’t “brand” specific. Thanks for the idea.

Add a GSU logo option to discussion avatars.
A small GSU-themed avatar logo or Panther face icon would be a nice touch instead of the generic 'Mystery Man' icon.
1 voteThe service has an open item to make this change, but they have declined the option as they use Gravatar for profile pics. Thanks for the suggestion. We love to find ways to sneak pounce in as well :)

Add color options to the header for the card box shorttag.
It would be really nice if I could set the color for the header for the "card" style of the box shorttag. Perhaps make it identical to the h5 options, with blue, red, or grey.
4 votesThis was good feedback, but it brought us to the latest page builder that can be used to customize objects far better than our early tools.

create at least one header style for the widget area without gray background.
The gray background of <hx> tags in the widget areas are kind of gross. I often want to have a larger font size in a text widget, but the gray background keeps me from using it.
Any chance we can alter existing or create new H tag styles without the background color attribute?
1 voteWe have transitioned away from this style in the latest themes and allow for a lot of customization.

Email
For students with a student and faculty account, we need a link when we log out of one account to go directly to the next account. Instead we have to keep going back to the home page or navigating elsewhere to get to the other email account. Thanks
1 voteOur Information Systems engineers are reviewing the option. This is a great suggestion.
We passed this on, but it’s not something we can fix in WordPress.

We have the email links for both Faculty/Staff and Students under their top menus routed to their correct login pages currently. This is getting people directly to the login with less click than before. The feedback about less clicks is very positive. We will continue monitor and adjust this method should the email system change their login methods to make a single button.

Full site...
Could we possible have the full site option at the bottom of the mobile app page?
1 voteCan you tell me which features in the “full version” you would like to see in the mobile version?
We went another route with the latest page builder. This allows the admin full control of the mobile screen and they can make it perfect for the UX.

Reduce the size of the presentation on every page
Fonts and graphics scream at the user in this new design. I have to zoom out on every page for comfort. You could have more information on every page by reducing font size. This is very annoying. The previous design was comfortably legible.

3.59094 votesThanks for your feedback. After review and testing with audience members from multiple groups we found the new presentation is driving remarkable amounts of traffic around the site in unprecedented ways. For the first time ever menus and image links are being used instead of people using google.com to find pages.
The decision to move toward the modern visual web design is returning positive results. We have made some adjustments in areas and will continue to monitor the design as it effects use. Should the trends change we will iterate and change with them.

Thanks for the suggestion. At this time we are going to continue to use the expanded students/faculty&staff menus for access to such items. A significant part of this project is remove university jargon in order to accommodate the range of visitors to our site. The new menus provide more options for our educated/returning visitors and as we begin converting colleges we may have additional required options to add to the header.

Thanks for the feedback. The “single sign-on” is an issue under review and being planned for multiple systems. When this service is available the we already have designed for it, but are waiting on the back-end technology. There currently isn’t a planned delivery date.
The votes have been recorded for the request and passed along.

Allow for the option to password protect certain content areas
An area of our offices has asked if it might be possible to place our organization handbook in wordpress, but would like the information to be available only to certain users.

The "X" on this page http://bit.ly/11pilrr is confusing. Screenshot: http://bit.ly/11Vc9cN
Change the X to "Home" or "Main."
1 voteTim,
After continued user testing and no additional votes on the topic we are going to decline this request. We are monitoring and iterating the system based on feedback and analytics. People are using the x to navigate from the features and back to the home page at this time. Should we see a transition from this method we will certainly make the change.
Thanks

A way to convert pages to posts when you create content as the wrong type would be great.
A way to convert pages to posts when you create content as the wrong type would be great.
1 voteThere is a way in the core to do this easily. If the feature is made available in the WordPress core we certainly will update it and post it to our Feed: http://commkit.gsu.edu/feed/
