How to Gain Access to Anthology Ally at GSU
Anthology Ally is an accessibility tool integrated into GSU’s online systems, including iCollege. It evaluates digital content, providing accessibility scores and corrective guidance.
Faculty and staff can view accessibility indicators and detailed feedback to improve documents, images and course materials. Site users can download alternative formats of course files, including MP3, ePub, and electronic braille.
The purpose of Ally is to improve usability for individuals who rely on assistive technologies and to strengthen overall accessibility compliance.
How to Request Access
Follow these steps to request access to Anthology Ally.
Step 1: Visit the Accessibility Support Page
Go to the Digital Accessibility Support page.
This page serves as the central resource for accessibility support and Ally access requests.
Step 2: Complete the Ally Access Request Form
Locate the section labeled “Ally Access Request.”
Submit the form with your name, unit, email, your supervisor's name and email, and the GSU WordPress site where access is needed.
After submission, the digital support team will review the request, verify the request with your supervisor, and enable access as appropriate.
Step 3: Attend Training Sessions
GSU offers training sessions on Anthology Ally. Training sessions cover:

How to use Ally to find and then correct common accessibility issues, such as missing alternative text, low color contrast, and improper heading structure.
How to download your Alternative Format User Reports.
Training is recommended for new users and for those responsible for maintaining web or course content.

Who Can Access Anthology Ally?
Website Editors and Content Managers
Access must be requested through the Digital Accessibility Support page. Once approved, Ally will be enabled for designated websites.
iCollege
Faculty looking for access to Ally in iCollege should go to CELTOE's Ally page.
Students
Students have access to alternative formats within GSU WordPress pages and iCollege. They can select the “Alternative Formats” option on the sides of GSU's public pages and next to course files within iCollege without submitting a separate request.
