What is Marketplace?

Georgia State Marketplace provides an easy, campus-wide e-commerce framework for authorized GSU personnel to create, manage and operate online storefronts, registration sites, and secure payment pages through a TouchNet application called Marketplace.

This application is excellent for those who need to resell items through their department in a secure manner.

The hosted application is a Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant solution for accepting online payments.

With unlimited eStorefront capacity, a flexible product database, and an integrated inventory management system, Georgia State Marketplace enables every campus merchant to quickly and easily offer products and services 24/7 with minimal training.

Payment options within Marketplace

  • uStores are full-service online stores set up by your department or GSU Marketplace administrator. uStores are easy to set up and require no IT customization.
  • uPay sites are payment pages interfaced with third-party business or campus web applications. TouchNet Ready Partners uses a T-Link to pass data back to TouchNet Marketplace. Campus web applications use a posting URL that connects to TouchNet online payment pages. This requires IT customization.

Other TouchNet products

  • Payment Gateway enables online, real-time reporting for campus administrators to track, manage, and reconcile payments.
  • Bill + Payment allows online and mobile access to campus bills and online bill payments.
  • PayPath is a credit card processing option that collects service fees charged to students separately from transaction fees the university collects.
