How to Add Individual News Articles from News Hub

It's important to understand the process when you want to include a Newshub article in a blog listing on your site which also includes local articles. For example: if you have press releases in posts on your site and you want to include a university press release from the Newhub in your list of posts on your blog page, this process would apply. If all of your News posts are being pulled from the Newshub, this process does not apply.

Step 1: Find the article you want to add from News Hub to your site by copying the URL

Step 2: Go to your website's dashboard. You can log in by visiting yoursite.gsu.edu/wp-admin. Select Post > New. Give your post a new title.

Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of the page to the "Page Links To:" section and select the radio dial that says "A custom URL." Paste the link from News Hub into this field. Check the box "Open this link in a new tab"

Step 4: Scroll back up  and look to the right for a section called 'featured image.' This is where you make your featured image, which appears on the left side of the excerpt. Click the word "featured image" in this section.

Step 5: If your new feed has categories, select the appropriate categories for your article.

Step 6: Turn off search engine indexing so the shell article does not compete with the News Hub article for search.

Press Publish to save all your changes. Remember to clear the cache as well so your external audience can see them.
