Creating a Separate Navigation Menu for a Section of Your Site

If you find that you require a separate Navigation Menu, different from your main site's primary Navigation Menu (the blue bar with dropdown menus and links to pages within your site at the top of your site's pages) for use on a micro-site within your site, you first need to log into your site and find every page that needs this new Navigation Menu to appear on, and give each of those pages a Category (in the right-most column on the Backend Editor) that they can all share. (If the Category that you need does not exist yet, click on "+ Add New Category" to create it.)

You'll also need to add a new Section Title and Section Subtitle for each page that you want to have a separate Navigation Menu attached. Scroll down the page, past the page content, until you see "Section Title." Add the title of the new microsite you're creating here, as well as a local link to what will become the microsite's homepage.

Then, under the "Section Subtitle" section, type in the name of the actual site that the microsite is under and turn it a link pointing to "/". This will make it appear and link to the main site's homepage.

After that, you need to find the APPEARANCE > MENUS section on your dashboard menu (in the left-most column).

If you don't have the menu that you need already created, create it now by clicking on "Create a new menu" and then building your menu using pages that already exist in your site, or by adding "Custom Links" for outside links, and then order them in the way that you need them to display.

Once you have your menu that you need for your new, separate Navigation Menu, click on the tab that says "Manage Locations," and then, under the Theme Location of "Primary Navigation Menu," click on "+ Conditional Menu."

Select the menu that you want and then click on the "+ Conditions" link next to it.

Then, on the pop-up window that appears, select the "Categories" tab and place a check in the checkbox for the category or tag that you want this separate Navigation Menu to appear on. Then click "SAVE." After that, create a Conditional Menu for the same options under "Mobile Navigation" on the "Manage Locations" tab. Then make sure you click on the "SAVE CHANGES" button at the bottom of the page.

All of the pages that share that category will now have this separate Navigation Menu. It will look similar to this:
