Installing an Essential Grid template from the Commkit
Step 1: Unzip the downloaded file
Windows: Right-click on the file and select "Extract All," and then follow the prompts.
Mac: Depending on your system's settings, the file may unzip itself upon download. If not, double-click on the file to unzip it.
Step 2: Login to your WordPress dashboard
In the dashboard's left navigation bar, hover over "Ess. Grid" and select "Import/Export."
Note: Do you not see this tab? Essential Grid may not be installed on your website. Contact our support team for help.
Step 3: Import the JSON file
Select “Import:” and then select “Choose File.” In your computer's file browser, navigate to the .json file within the unzipped folder and select it.
Select “Read File.” The page will briefly load and read the file. When the page finishes loading, click “Import Selected Data.”
Step 4: Edit the grid
After importing the element, edit the Essential Grid grid as you would if you had constructed it from scratch yourself. Save it, and then add it to the page(s) that requires it.
