Adding Social Share Buttons to a FLEX theme website

One of the easiest ways to promote your featured stories or projects from your site to social media is with social share buttons. Social share buttons allows visitors and readers to share specific pages from your site unto their social media feeds.

In this article, we're going to show you how to add social share buttons unto your pages on the FLEX theme.

Step 1: Before you get started, you'll need to log into your WordPress dashboard. To log in, please visit http://yourwebsite.gsu.edu/wp-admin and then type in your username and password.

Next, once your log into the dashboard, select the page or post you'd like for your social buttons to appear. You can do this by looking on the left hand side of your dashboard for the pages and post button. Click it and then search for your page on the list of current pages. Once you find the page, click the word "edit"

Step 2: Now that you've logged in, please make sure that you're modifying your page in back-end editor mode instead of classic. To do this click the word "back end editor" on the top left area of your WordPress WYSIWYG editor.

If you do not see the button called "backend editor" on the site, that's good! It means you're already in the back end of the FLEX theme.

Step 3: Now, your going to create a row for your social feed. To create a row, click on the large plus button and then select the row button.

Step 4: Now, within that row, your going to add the social media feed. Begin by clicking on the smaller "+" button and then looking for the button called "Social Share Buttons".

Step 5: Finally, fill in all the information in the pop-up box then drag and drop the field where you'd like to place it.
